Bottle gourd n Mawa Halwa:
2 cups grated bottle gourd
Brown sugar 3/4 cup
Milk powder-3/4 cup
Cardamom-4-5 pods finely powdered.
Ghee3 table spoons
2 table spoons milk.
Pressure cook the grated lauki and keep aside( 2 whistles)
For the Mawa:
Take the milk powder in a bowl and adding little milk knead it to a soft dough.
Cover it with a dry cloth and steam it for 10 mins. Keep aside to cool.
Meanwhile take a kadai and add ghee and brown sugar and on medium heat cook till the sugar melts. Add in the mawa and mix well and cook for another 5-8 mins.
Add in the cooked lauki, mix well and cook till its well mixed and then add ghee and cook for another 10 mins until the ghee leaves the sides of the kadai.Add in the cardamom and mix well.Halwa is ready to be served hot or cold😬
