Dry Fruits Suji Halwa


  • Semolina -1 small cup
  • Brown sugar-3/4 cup
  • Nuts and raisins-1 table spoon
  • Dry figs/Anjeer-4 sliced 
  • Apricots-4 sliced 
  • Warm water-2 1/2 cups.
  • Cardamom powder- as per taste.
  • Ghee-1/4 cup.


  • In a pan roast the suji in ghee and as it lets out an aroma add in the dry fruits and roast for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Now add the warm water and mix well. Add the cardamom powder and the sugar and mix well and cook on low heat for another 2-4 minutes. The halwa or sheera is now ready. 
  • Goes well with puris.
