Sanna Appos/paddu

Sanna appos a healthy option of sanna polo(dosa).Tastes good with coconut oil. 


  • Cabbage chopped finely-1 cup
  •  Onions-2 chopped funely
  • Red chillies-4
  • Suji rava-1/2 cup
  • Tuvar dal-1/2 cup
  • Coconut grated-little less than 1/2 cup.
  • Hing-1/4 spn
  • Tamarind- small piece.
  • Coriander seeds-1 spn(optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Coconut oil to make appos.


Soak tuvar dal for about 1 hour and then grind it along with grated coconut,red chillies, tamarind, asafoetida and coriander seeds to a little coarse paste adding very little water.

In a bowl mix this masala along with the chopped onions and cabbage,suji and salt. Mix well and after about 10 minutes make appos using coconut oil.
